Only in the Ohio Valley can we have tornado warnings in the same day that we are supposed to have snow! We're battening down the hatches and hoping nothing hits us or loved ones. Hope anyone else in the line of fire comes out ok!

No tornadoes for us, but a huge snow storm winging its way. Supposed to have big amounts of snow, starting tonite. We shall see....

Good luck!

Didn't realise we were supposed to get snow yesterday, ended up coming down really hard, but only for a short while and barely got a inch of the stuff.

But for weird weather, our wedding day, up in Maine, 2 inches of snow in the morning, hurricane winds for lunch followed by a inch of rain or something ridiculous and then a sunny afternoon.

Sounds like a great day, Bob! I was just reading about that snow expected up in WA. Good luck Lisa.

We were lucky that nothing hit near where I am, but there was some unconfirmed tornado damage a couple of miles from my OH. Danger is all passed by now, but now the temp is supposed to drop drastically and its possible for snow flurries later..and it was around 60degrees this morning!

I woke up to thunderstorms yesterday morning, not what I was expecting on a January morning. Friends have told me to make the most of it as it'll be all hurricanes and ridiculously hot weather when we move to SC! I actually like a thunderstorm and will take lightening over snow any day! Saying that it is back to regular January weather today and is freezing cold, plus it is supposed to snow tomorrow!

Been in SC 2 yrs now and never had a hurricane, they seem to come pretty close, then veer off to the East or North!....The 'ridiculously hot weather' though is a big issue, from around May to October the humidity is unbearable and you tend to go from house with AC to car with AC to store etc with AC, very unpleasant to do anything 'physical' outside (imho)
Thunderstorms ca be pretty good in SC, according to hubby who oves them, me, I am a nervous wreck about lightening LOL.

Move south. It has been sunny every day for the last month here.

If you look at rainfall totals in California, the rain starts north of the golden gate bridge at the same time it is usually sunny south of the bridge.

However up where you are, it is always raining and I would consider you more of a part of Oregon and Washington than of California.

You might as well have stayed in the UK.

Whereabouts in SC? Here in Lexington the temperatures have been a rollercoaster - t-shirts last weekend and winter woolies now (30F on the ride in to work this morning)! At least it will be back into the 70Fs at the weekend
