got a second job interview!

got a second job interview!
Well blow me down! Someone actually wants me to come back for a second job interview!
Now, considering I was a qualified teacher in the UK, and the student advisor/receptionist job in question is barely above minimum wage, and only 15 (unsociable) hours per week, I think that is pretty outstanding for a year of job searching! (can you detect the sarcasm? must behave myself, it is the lowest form of wit they say...)
So hey wish me luck! They want a year long commitment from me and they have spelled out there is no chance of career progression from this post, and not much chance of a raise either, so I will need all the luck I can get to keep from bursting into tears in the office and wailing "Look what I am reduced to!!"

Hi Yorkshire Lass, new here, know how you feel in Hawaii
Hi there, I'm a Yorkshire lass too, spent 4 years in Hawaii with my husband
(navy) I totally understand the mentally there, sounds like "paradise" but thats not necessarily true! Job wise, its not what you know, its who you know. Beautiful place, but very isolated. Will keep my fingers crossed for your second interview, good luck!
Cheers

Re: got a second job interview!
congrats Bradford lass!
Thanks all of you for your replies. I actually called to see I was going to withdraw my application and they offered to up the money! I was pleased at that but I expressed my concerns that there seemed to be no chance of moving up in the company and was then told that I had been misinformed about that and they would like to discuss it with me further. So I am still going to go for the interview after all.
