Got It!!! Dv-2003
Today I received a call from my friend in NY saying that he received letter from DV-Lottery ( I put his address for return address) saying that I GOT IT!!. I'm from Europe (Macedonia) so thats meen that they start sending the letters for Europe. Now what. I still have valid B1/B2 visa till 04.07.2002. Should I go in USA to fiish all the necessary formality or its beter to stay here ang finish in the US Embassy here. Please I need all the informations that I can get now.

Can you please tell us when your letter was sent/postmarked? If you come to US on
tourist visa having won DV lottery/intending to do AOS you might have problems
proving non-immigrant intent of your B1 entry.

Can you please tell us when your letter was sent/postmarked? If you come to US on

I'd do it abroad if I were you. The winning visa must be issued by September 30,
2003. If you go to the U.S. and apply for Adjustment of Status, you may lose your
winning entry by the time they get around to adjudicating your application. As others
have mentioned, you also may have problems with B1/B2 admission if INS knows you won
the visa lottery.

I dont know, I just know that my friend received it on 14.05.2002 in NY. I'm waithing now for the DV package (my friend send it to me by UPS). Does anybody know the procedure now?

Hi Dzoker,
Did you simply put your friend's address on the DV application, or did you put
"Care of"?

And if INS doesn't know at the time of B1/B2 admission, he would almost certainly
face accusations of immigration fraud because the immigration intent in this
situation is self-evident.
