Good places to eat the in (South) Bay Area, CA
I'm always googling "nice restaurants in the Bay Area" as always end up going to the same places. Here are my recommendations so far:
Californian - Nick's Next Door and Cin Cin both in Los Gatos (not cheap but yummy food). The Village Bistro in Santana Row
BBQ - Henry's Hi Life and Smoking Pig (both in San Jose) for a chilled out meal and a good helping of ribs
Austrian - Naschmarkt Restaurant in Campbell is nice
Italian - Aldo's Ristorante in Los Gatos - great Tuna salad (although i think it's on the special menu) and great pasta (no pizza)
Asian - Sino and Straits (both in Santana Row
French - The Left Bank (it's not that French though), Santana Row
Patisseries - Cocola in Santana Row, Redwood City, Palo Alto (yummy apple tarts)
Brunch - Los Gatos Cafe for amazing eggs benedict and Crepevine in Willow Glen/Mountain View/Palo Alto etc.
Take-away Pizza - Patxi's in Campbell and Slice of NY in San Jose (although i've not enjoyed a single pizza in California but my hubby loves these two take-aways)
Anyone have any other recommendations?
