Good grief!

Good grief!
So I get an email from the lawyers yesterday asking me to print and sign 2 copies of the G-28 and I-539 and send them to their office so they can file them with USCIS. I found out that my background is way more interesting that I thought it was!
On the I-539 Q3, the lawyers had checked the 'Yes' box as answer to the questions d-g! I had to amend the form and email the paralegal and lawyer to tell them what I had done. They had also omitted the details I gave them regarding the J1 visa I had had when I was an exchange student in 1994. Remind me again why the company are paying the law firm so much money? I am just glad I read it thoroughly and didn't just print and sign it!
We were hoping to get approval notice by Dec 16 as my OH has to give 2 weeks notice with his current job and he is supposed to be going on a month long training program in South Carolina on January 2. I am not entirely convinced that we will get approval in time. We thought all this was being done much quicker than it has been.

Problem with lawyers is they assume you are going to tell the truth on these forms

You naughty girl! Quite impressive to do all of that! My attorney also forgot to include the J1 stuff I'd so diligently prepared, and not exactly done a stellar job of the rest of the DS230s either. For that and other reasons, I ended up doing DS230s myself - and got a "thank you for doing an excellent job" for it. Hmm.
