going over the boarder
In November I went over the border to Canada car was searched going in and a lot of questions of why I was going, anyway on way back American side where waiting for me another barrage of questions plus car search secondary inspection. anyway my question is would I be stupid to go over again so soon, thinking of going over the day after christmas to do some shopping.

Where? I usually get asked quite a few questions at the Ambassador Bridge (Detroit/Windsor) crossing, but rarely have a problem crossing at Hill Island (east of Kingston).
The worst that can happen is you get refused entry. But, since there's probably some great Boxing Day sales on... I'd do it. :) Ian |

Of course that was around 1994. |

We go to Canada regularly and have never had the car searched or been asked questioned by IOs in either country. Now I've said that guess what will happen to us on Thursday? |
Re: going over the boarder
I have passed many times due to my location so close to NY. Sometimes they ask me to turn off my car and check my trunk. Other times they have asked me if I am the registered owner of my car! And that is after showing them my NEXUS card too! Sometimes it is easier, while other times it can be more detailed. Nothing to worry too much about. If you have nothing to hide, it really is nothing more than a small disruption.
