Ginger Beer
Hi All!!! I am looking for some Ginger Beer. My husband and I moved from Scotland to Texas and are trying to find someplace where we might get some Ginger Beer. We have tried Ginger Ale but its not quite the same. Does anyone know of some place where we might order some? Would greatly appreciate the help.

I've moved your thread over to the US forums. We have quite a few members living in Texas...so any questions you have please post them in this forum.

Hi there
What part of Texas are you in?
As others have said, World Market, Whole Foods, Specs, but also check the international aisle of HEB/Kroger - if you're in a heavy expat area, they may carry it. Or at least ours normally do, along with Lucozade, Ribena, Irn Bru etc.
Or make it yourself - I used to do it when I was a kid....always had a ginger beer "tree" growing - we used two massive old pottery milk jugs and had to keep dividing it as the "tree" grew. Can't remember how we started it off, but sounds like a weekend research project for my kids.......

Look in the "international foods" section if your store has one, rather than the soda aisle -- I find some wonderful Jamaican and Puerto Rican ginger beers in those sections of various stores.

Re: Ginger Beer
I would add HEB, Central Market here stocks several varieties.
The more high end the store the more likely to get your best selection.
Also, do not discount special orders. If you buy a case or two the stores usually will order a specific item if you want.
Cheers

Mmmm Ginger Beer. Why did I let that fall out of my life? I haven't had it since I was a kid. There's a Whole Foods right by me too, that I've never been in, so I'll put that right this weekend.

Kids found this online....Sounds a lot like what we used to do as kids.
We're away camping this weekend, but think this will be a project for the following week.

Re: Ginger Beer
Bundaberg (Australian, made with sugar rather than HFCS) is available in all the local grocery store chains here in UT (Smith's - part of Kroger, Dick's/Winegar's - part of Associated Foods).

I was so excited when I first found it, now I can pick it up with the groceries.
