Getting Marks & Spencer clothes over here
Folks, since M & S don't deliver overseas, does anyone know of a service for getting clothing delivered over here, bar a relative/friend buying it and shipping it over?
Thanks, Sam.
Thanks, Sam.

Try calling a specific store. I've had stuff delivered from stores whos website doesnt ship outside the UK. Ask about getting tax deducted too!

Why bother? There are much better brands of clothes in the USA and they are pretty reasonable also!
Try Old Navy or GAP or are you looking for more formal clothing?

OK, now we all really, really want to know what you're looking for. I always rather liked their shrimp sandwiches, but I don't suppose that's it.

What is this British obsession with M&S underwear??? I'll agree there are plenty of great brands available in the US and I think it is part of integration to move on and adapt to local conditions.

Well I think part of the obsession is the quality. I've been here a year and a bit now and the undies I bought from M & S before I left are still in perfect condition.
The undies I bought from Victoria's Secret just a couple of months ago are looking a bit shabby.
They also had a really huge collection in M & S, all neatly hung up, easy to find your size, unlike a lot of the dept stores I have looked in here.
Despite their decline in popularity over the last few years I still love M & S.

I agree- can't beat Marks' knickers or their shirts, or trousers, or kids PJ's, or or...... Anyone been to the flagship Marks and Sparks at Bluewater, Kent??? Omigod its better than the Marble Arch store- I spent hours in there a couple of weeks ago-they had a sale on the childrens clothes too- had to buy another suitcase to get it all back. BTW, if you're travelling BA you get 2 cases and 64 kgs baggage allowance, but pay for an extra case and you get another 32kgs- cheaper than paying excess.

Victoria's Secret would have to be the poorest quality underwear I am yet to see. Not only is the quality crap but the design and selection is a tad tarty. Take a look at some of the better department stores, ie Nordstroms, they have a wonderful selection and they should have sales coming up soon.

Do any of you women find difficulty buy matching bras and knickers/thongs? The only place is Victoria Secrets and the bras never fit at all! All the department stores have the bras and knickers separate and they don't seem made to go together. Anyone recommend anywhere in the US?

Have you checked out Nordstroms at all? I found they had lots of matching sets, in all price ranges and sizes. The one I used to go to in San Diego carried lots of different brands, including Italian and French. VS are cut really funny, that is the bras are.

I do all my shopping online, have it delivered to whoever is coming to the USA next and hey presto, a new full wardrobe of M & S! Just had my latest batch of summer clothes arrive, they are great.
