Re: Getting a job in the US without a degree
At my company a degree is nearly a must, even for positions where it shouldn't be. In my department, a Masters is a must. I have my Masters solely because I thought it would help open doors, not because I think I'm smarter because of it.
I do think this varies quite a bit by industry and whether or not you're in a "client-facing" role. |
Re: Getting a job in the US without a degree
As others have stated, it depends on the job, BUT, the last two jobs hubby has had, one which he was with for 8 years required a degree, which he doesn't have, and he got the job, (they said his personality, persistance and experiance got him the job) and now that we are moving back to the US, he just got a great job there, also requesting a degree, which he again got.
If you dont have the requested degree, you need to be prepared to put forth what your expeiance and personality can offer the company. |
