Default Getting a Car price quote!

OK I am thinking about selling my car, and yes I could go to a dealer but I want a private seller quote, not as easy as I thought kbb and edmonds.com do not list my car

I don't want to get ripped off, can anyone who knows about cars give me a realistic private sellers price, I may trade in but am curious.

$13.5-$14.5k depending on condition/area/model/extras (just add some to the 07 price)

Do a search on autotrader and see if there are any similar in your area

As Big D noted, use the 2007 price and something slightly to it if you don't have 2008 prices. You need to account for the options packages and the condition. (It is unlikely to be in "excellent" condition -- few cars are -- so don't presume that.)

Also, look at prices for comparable Ford Fusions, as the Milan is essentially the same car.

Selling a car like this privately could take some effort. Your buyer will probably need a loan, and the credit crunch has hit the car market, not just housing. Allow plenty of time to find a buyer; if you're in a hurry, you may need to either slash the price or else just trade it in.

The mileage is what you'd expect from an 07 -- don't add much!

that's what happens when you buy a new car. you drive it off the lot and you've lost $3k.

Yes I knew I would lose but not that much, but with the miles I do at least I have had peace of mind in regards to the mechanical side and warrantys etc...

I may well keep it another year.

Next time you buy, have a look here first. If buying new, the more stars the better. If buying used, the least stars will be better value.
