Id probably wait to see if I could wait, but I can't see it being much.

They have sales all the time, so I doubt there will be much to gain. You may get a better deal on a 2019 model as the 2020 models arrive, which is starting about now.

The best deals are typically going to be on vehicles that have been in inventory for a long time - one local dealer actually says in their radio ads that the "up to" deals on offer are for the two vehicles that they had in invesntory for the longest time. IMO these are likely to include cars with a manual transmission, low trim level vehicles, e.g. SUVs without video screens, or vehicles painted an unusual color.

We got a killer deal on our most recent purchase by buying a car that a Honda dealer had had in inventory for over 360 days! It was a very nice Accord coupé, but apparently local buyers didn't want a manual transmission, which by happy coincidence was exactly what we were looking for. It had been a relatively low-spec car when it left the factory, but the dealer had upgraded the seats and door panels to leather, but was so desperate to shift the car that we got a discount from the original spec level price, effectively getting the leather seats for free. Bottom line, we paid only about 5% more for an Accord coupé with leather seats in 2017 (2016 model) than we had paid for a low spec (cloth seat, manual) Accord saloon in 2002!
