Georgia Driving Test

Hey All,

Just did my Georgia Driving test today (and passed) so I thought i'd post it on here in case anyone else is thinking about it / about to do it.

You don't have to book in advance like you do in the UK.

I turned up in my rental car at the DDS office at 7:30 for them opening. Joined the queue and took a number.

Number got called and they took my details.

Waited for number to be called again, and took Traffic Law and Road Signs test on their computers.

Passed Road signs test and waited to be called for my road test.

Did road test which consisted of a little bit of driving, parallel park, reverse park and emergency stop.

Got told I had passed an went back inside.

Waited for my number to be called and then queued up to have my photo taken.

Got my license :)

All cost $20 in total and you CAN do it in a rental car as long as you are the primary driver and are covered by insurance.

Congratulations, I too passed first time and was amazed at how easy taking a test here is compared to the heartache and pain I went thru when i took my UK driving test all those years ago.
Did they Take your UK driving licence off you? or did they let you keep it?
