Gas companies
I've just been swithcing all the utilities in our house new house into my own name. Some have had to take a deposit as we don't have much credit history here ad that's fine. Washington Gas, however, want me to go into their offices as they won't accpet me as a customer unless they see me in person until I have been a resident for 5 YEARS!!!! I laughed when they told me, and thought surely they can't be serious, but they are. Does anyone know if the gas market is similar to the UK, i.e. could I switch to a different company just like that?
