I know...we always used Tcut...it's no good if the scratch is too deep. Where's Rushy...he'd know?

Bastards. Vandals and thieves, all of them. Did you file a report with the police?

Might be similar to what we call "rubbbing compound". It's like a wax with very fine grit in it. You can get it basic colors to help match it up, but if the scratch is too deep it won't help much.

T cut is a light compound, slightly abrasive. Good for light scuffs etc, it takes off, say black marks on the paint. I have bought similar products in USA. Problem with keyed, it usually goes through the layers of paint, there is nothing to take off.

Trouble is, when they catch these people "Its not their thought, they are misunderstood" grrrrrrrrrrr:curse:
Good luck.

Poppy Girl, if you do a search on it, leave out one of the "b"'s.

Years ago I tried the dark blue car polish "As seen on TV", didn't do anything for the paintwork, though my hands turned blue.

No it wont. Its a key scratch right? Go to a "good" auto parts store and ask for "3M Rubbing compound medium grade". Put it on a decent lint free cloth and rub it forcefully in a circular motion over the scratch. You'll see it gently fill the scratch in and dissapear.

You're right. T Cut is a very light compound polish ...bit too light for keyed up scratches but good for faded and light (bushes etc) scratches.

It certainly does. When I bought my car, it was keyed, and two large nails driven through the rear tires within a couple of days. Then, the driver's side mirror was ripped off, and finally, after I'd lovingly waxed it, I came back to find someone had decided to throw eggs at it.

I then moved from California, and strangely enough, the only things that people have done to my car are pay compliments.
