Fringe benefit tax rates in Houston, TX
Hi Everyone
I have been approached by my company to move to Houston, TX on a 3 year secondment. As part of the package my company will provide a company car and a fully paid apartment and I was hoping to estimate the fringe benefit tax on these benefits and haw much will be deducted from my wage.
I will be living there with my wife (no kids) and think I will be looking for an apartment around $1,500 - $2,000 per month rent including bills.
What kind of income tax do people pay on these benefits considering my wage will be around $75-$80k (TBC). Also what kind of company car tax do people pay on a company car like a Ford Focus/Honda Civic/VW Golf?
Any info will help me to evaluate the package my company are offering me. thanks again and hope to hear from you soon.
also any advice on how much health care costs are/how much tax you pay taxed would help?

I am not sure but I think fringe benefits are taxed as income

Health care, you will usually be offered a range of options at different prices.
