You're attributing southern California weather (i.e. the well known in films and on TV weather) to the much more temperate northern parts of the state.

If you want the heat, you need to get a little closer to Mexico.

On the plus side, she doesn't run the risk of sharknadoes.

Ah, but if there is one thing that SyFy has taught us, it's that a poorly made special effect can strike at any time ...

Meh, it's barely tops out at 70F/20C by the coast today, and we even had cloud coverage in the morning. I wasn't even sure if I could wear my sunglasses! Where do I file for a refund?

At least down here if you want heat all you need to do is drive 15 minutes inland. Some days you can see the car thermometer go up a degree or two every minute.

I've just got up and closed the door due to the cold. It's grey and chilly here too today, although its been fantastic virtually every day since March. Lovely blue skies and sunshine, high 70s with a breeze, just perfect.

We went into San Francisco, around 30 miles north for us, a couple of weeks ago. I had jeans, tank, sweater, thick jacket, socks and trainers and was still on the chilly side.

You need to move further inland

Is coastal Northern California ever warm? Everytime I have gone its been chilly.

Up the coast further here in Southwest BC and Northern Washington, its been very nice and warm for nearly 6 weeks now, not hot, not cold, warm and comfortable.

When I lived in San Diego I lived 4 miles from the coast, and my sister lived 20 miles east, and it could very well be 65-70 at my house, and 85-90 at her house, she had no a/c, so I rarely visited..
