Alternatively, download Whattsapp. They have a call function, mobile to mobile. Free and unlimited.

I pay $15/month on T-Mobile, for unlimited calls and sms to the Bonnie land; never had an issue with their network!

Most of my US -> UK calls are to landlines. I use a Skype subscription which costs $3.99 for 400 minutes to landlines ($6.99 to landlines and/or mobiles).

This was only interesting because it is calls to landlines and mobile phones without needing the app.

I have use Facetime (95% of the time as I mostly talk to my sister who has an Iphone/ipad) Sykpe, whatsapp and calls made over the facebook app.

I have had the same balance on my calling cards for months because I never use it.

Is that in total? I am paying $17.29 for 1000 minutes and sms to the UK, but only includes landlines through Lyca.

It's the cost of the add-on - you still have to pay for a plan on top.

You can get Stateside International Talk for $10 a month which includes calls to landlines in lots of countries including the UK or Stateside International Talk with Mobile for $15 a month which also includes calls to international mobile phones.

I have the $15 one on my account as it's handy being able to call whoever you want without thinking about it.
