Thumbs up Fox TV programmes 'starring' Brits!

I don't have small children (been there, done that) but on Fox TV tomorrow night they're beginning a new series called "Nanny 911". It's where British nannies go into the homes of American families to sort out their unruly children (British style LOL!). It seems to be a spin-off of a programme I watched in England during the Summer, I'm sure the nanny with the specs was on it - but the British version only featured one nanny and not four of them.

For some weird reason (just as in that stupid 'Joe Millionaire' programme) they will have a 'butler' - Goodness knows why Fox wanted to put that bit in but it might be worthwhile watching anyway:

http://www.fox.com/nanny911/ (It's on 9pm-10pm ET)

(I'd love to know what Americans think after watching it....they may be horrified LOL! There is a message board on the above link, I've already seen some interesting comments...).

Also I'm looking forward to watching the new series featuring Richard Branson....there is a 2 hour special premiering next Tuesday night:

http://www.fox.com/rebelbillionaire/

I have a soft spot for RB - I once met him at Stansted Airport as we were both waiting for passengers on an incoming flight. He was so nice, friendly and down to Earth. My husband's also met him on a Virgin flight - he likes to go and chat with the passengers. I couldn't imagine Donald Trump mixing with the plebs LOL....

I don't like him at all, when he himself built up his empire flogging bootleg tapes.......... He's just a criminal who got away with it.

<<snip>>
Is this Nanny 911 show partly a bit of PR after the Louise Woodward case a few years back? It probably scared off a lot of parents from hiring British nannies...

There's those Brit actresses in ER and Boston Legal too. Seem to be more and more Brits popping up on US telly.

Most people here seem to like the English accent. Does the fact that Brits are popping up on telly mean that we're becoming fashionable? :scared:

I think maybe we've been promoted from "oddity" to interesting.

Hi.Thought the "Rebel Billionaire" starring Richard Branson was very good.Makes Donald Trumps show "The apprentice" look very tame.I mean one of Donalds tasks one week was what team could make the most money by washing dogs in central park!!.On Richard Bransons show he was actually doing the stunts with the contestants sitting on top of a hot air balloon drinking tea and strapped to the wings of a plane flying at 10,000 ft.
I just wonder why all of the contestants are Yanks??.

Looking forward to the next one.Cheers.

They seem to be appearing in adverts, too. Orbit White ("Brilliant!") and one for some home loan company both feature British women, though I think the Orbit one is an American actress doing a British accent.
