FormI-129F
My boyfriend lives in England and he wants to live here permantly with me and also wants to work and the immigration people told us to file form I-129F. They said it is the easyiest way to go about getting here permantly.
He thinks we should get married first and then file for a green card. I don't know what to do. This is the first time I ever been through this. We are actually both stuck. Don't know what to do first. Can anyone out there help us. He wants to be a permant resident in USA.

You and he should carefully review the advantages and disadvantages of the K-1
(I-129F fiance petition) method versus the spousal visa method.
Both methods end up in him becoming a U.S. permanent resident.
When he realizes that he will be in the U.S. at a much earlier date, perhaps
even a year earlier, with the K-1 method than the spousal visa method, he might
change his mind.
