Post Foreign-born population in the US

For those who are interested in statistics, Immigration Weekly published the following article:-

The Foreign-Born Population in the United States: 2003

Luke J. Larsen, in a report published by the US Census Bureau,
describes in detail various characteristics of the foreign-born
population in the US.

http://www.ilw.com/lawyers/articles/...813-census.pdf

It shows that Europeans now living in the US fare favourably in educational and financial terms.

Wow, I would have thought it a lot more than that, I mean, there's a good couple of hundred on this board for a start.

Interesting, but what have the done with the Mexicans? They've divided Latin America into Central and South America. Mexico is firmly in North America, whether they like it or not.

Is that legal migrants, or does it take into account the huge numbers of illegal hispanics in the US ?

Really? I always thought Mexico was Central America and those below it were in South America. If not, where are the dividing lines?

I thought that too James, but this subject is one of the few arguments I've lost with my Mother In Law.

Simply watch the Eurovision Song Contest to find out which countries are in Europe. Apparently Turkey and Israel are now on board...

I notice on that website they link to the CIA World Fact book. THe CIA seem to think the Falkland Islands are known as Islas Malvinas. you'ld think the CIA would know something as basic as the name of our territories.

They just do that to throw people off the scent (in this case, mostly sheep). They're very cunning that way.

So I see. In fact, the Tourist Board seems to be made up entirely of penguins.
