Flying J doesn't take Comdata or Comcheck which is probably the most used way of truckers to make transactions to pay for fuel.

It's not taking comdata that has played a major part in the downfall ! ... Most companies rely on it, when I was self employed I prefered Flying J but had to cash Comchecks at other truck stops and then go to a Flying J to pay cash.
The foof at Flying j's is better than the other truckstops also.

I know what you mean

Pilot has fast food crap ... mostly wendys around here Petro has reasonably good eatery (serves gammon and pineapple) but I was told by an employee at one that all the 'Iron Skillet' diners are closing down and as they are the only attraction at Petros for me I wont be going there soon.
TA's have shitty food in all departments, so it's gonna be regulay roadside diners soon

They don't take Visa Cards for Diesel Fuel purchases, either, which hasn't helped their position.

Two of our area Flying Js were without fuel, earlier this week.

Nothing to do with which cards they take for buying fuel.
It's more likely about buying oil futures before the price collapsed.

Well, when your Fleet-Customers are driven away to the competition, such as the TA, Pilot and others who accept Visa Cards.....it doesn't exactly help your situation, does it?

Not one of our 40 vehicles has stopped in a Flying J, since they canned the Visas.

Sure, I understand what you're saying Jim and I can't understand why they wouldn't accept every card out there if it means they sell more diesel, but I was talking about what the main cause seems to have been in this situation.
They're selling just as much diesel as they were months ago, so all I'm saying is that there has to be more to it than which cards they accept.
