Default Flexible Spending Accounts - Frames for glasses?

Well... it's getting to the end of the year and we have $700 left in the flex spending account. I was thinking of getting the missus some new (prescription) glasses. Our work literature is pretty useless on the detail. Does anyone know if there is a limit on the amount that can be reimbursed for frames? Theoretically could we spend the $700 on a pair or maybe two of prescription glasses?

Cheers,

Doug.

I just spent my last $500 from my medical FSA this year on two pairs of prescription glasses, one of those sets were prescription sunglasses. All good. Check out your FSA's website to see what is allowed. My FSA allows vitamins, otc meds, and I was even reimbursed for Dr. Scholl Silicone heel cups for my shoes (I have diagnosed plantar fasciitis). The previous year, we used alot of our FSA for DH's dental work that our insurance didn't cover.
