Default First Notice Of Action Date From Vsc

Hi there, can anyone tell me an answer to my question? My fiance and I have just sent off our I-129f petition to vermont service centre. We are waiting for the 1st NOA and I understand that on that it will say how long it will take to process our case. The time that they put on that, does it always happen in that time? Or is it usual for the service centre to say tell ya that your application will be processed in 40 days but in reality its 70? I jsut wanna get an idea if the time scale that they tell us this week will be the actual time scale that our application is approved by them. Has anyone out there had some bad or good experiences with Vermont in this way?
