Default Financial Support of affidavit

My friend recently got married with a US citizen , he wants to file I-485 but for financial support of affidavit his wife does not have tax papers of three year nor she is doing job worth that can come on line of poverty lines. his wife's parents are also poor that they canot be a sponsor , the question is that is there any thing that can be done to file I-485 or sponsor is MUST?

The U.S. citizen sponsor (the petitioner) *must* file a Form I-864,
affidavit of support, or the application will be denied. This is true even
if the petitioner's income and assets are not sufficient to satisfy the
public charge requirement.

If a tax return has not been filed for any of the previous 3 years, then an
explanation must be made. If the law requires that the tax return have been
filed for a past year, then the person has to file it.

If the I-864 of the U.S. citizen does not indicate a high enough income to
keep the family from becoming a public charge, then there are two ways for
the case to be successful:

(1) One or more joint sponsors files another I-864. This sponsor can be any
U.S. citizen or permanent resident living in the U.S.

(2) A household member who has been living with the U.S. citizen petitioner
for at least 6 months can file Form I-864A, to have his or her income
counted in her affidavit of support. This means that your friend can have
his own income counted after he has lived in the household for 6 months.

Yes it is a must, though the rules are not very strict, you
must have some paperwork that proves you will not be a
burden to society. Didn't she work for three years? If she
did she can always get paperwork from IRS or her tax
advisor. But being unemployed right now and no income does
not look good.

Does your friend have a job in the US?
