Filing US taxes

I am a dual citizen of both UK and US and just moved back permanently to England after 12 years.

Just curious what the repercussions are of not filing US tax returns if I am not earning an income either in US or UK.

I am filing this year but curious for future years whether I need to or not?

Thanks

Re: Filing US taxes

As you may know, as a US citizen you are required to file US taxes even if you live abroad, based on your worldwide income. But only if you have income.

There may be other reasons you need to file. Check here for more information.
