file taxes and arriving date as permanent resident
Hi all,
I have a big question about taxes. I got the green card via lottery in 2012, i entered USA for 4 days in May and return to my country and then i moved definitely in November same year.
I know it is kind of late but, should i file taxes that year? I was in the US only 60 something days.
Thanks

You are a US person since the date you activated the green card. If you meet the filing thresholds, US law requiring filing US income tax returns, FBARs and any other information returns that apply to your circumstances.

Well, i am still reading what to do. The main issue with my case is that i was living in europe since 2008 and got the green card via lottery in May 2013, so I was technically there the whole time until that year.
I was planning to do the Bona or not filing at all. I moved to the US in Nov that year. Any insigt is appreciated, i have had bad experience with accountants, etc.
