Hello

I'm currently waiting for the call from the American Embassy in London to get my Fiance visa....i am a bit concerned about being refused this fiance visa as i have been out of work here for sometime....I understand the US may pick up on this issue and refuse me one on these grounds....does anyone know of anyone else, or had refusal themselves on the principal of not working here for refusal of a fiance visa.

Your employment status as the beneficiary has nothing to do with approval or denial.

So are you saying i shouldn't be to concerned about being refused a visa on non employment grounds, as long as everything else is in order?

If you are the foreigh fiancee, and your US citizen petitioner has satisfied all other requirements including the affidavit of support- and you have no skeletons in the closet (arrests, visa overstays...), you should be fine.
