Default Few Questions about Knightsbridge Medical Exam

Hi all,

I read many pages here about medical exam using the search function. Some of the posts were quite old. So I hope the wonderful members can answer my few questions:

1) How much is the cost for one adult these days without the vaccinations costs? A rough recent(ish) figure would be OK.

2) I gather they only need the vaccination record from the GP. Is that all they need from my GP?

3) Do the doctors in the Knightsbridge or other similar service providers, have access to our NHS records in any way online or otherwise?

I think the answers will help quite a few people searching the forum in the future too. If a member knows the answer to any one or more of the questions, that would be great. Thank you.

This seems one of the most helpful online places I have seen with great comradely assistance. Great resources and wonderful spirit. Thank you for making it possible.

1) It was £250 when I went last year
2) It was all I needed, and should be all you need unless you have any underlying medical conditions
3) I doubt it, but it shouldn't matter, they give you a form to fill out with many questions about your medical history and the Doctor will ask you some questions too, they gather all their information from this.

I posted about my experience, you can find it by clicking on my name and viewing more posts, or searching in the marriage based visa forum,

This information is all still valid as of a couple weeks ago.

One thing I never found out, why do they physically check if you are male or female?

Just seemed a bit overkill, it's on my birth certificate and my passport. I wouldn't have thought it's the sort of thing people lie about and go to the effort of forging documents.

Probably mainly to check for any visible signs of STD.

Could be transgender. Some people are desperate to get into the US, especially on a marriage based visa scheme. Never know what is lurking under those pant(ie)s.

But now that same-sex marriages are eligible for immigration, there's no real reason to do the visual check.

The government doesn't make changes quickly.

Any way it was a tongue-in-cheek reply.
