Seattle and Boston probably my favourite cities so far, could easily live in either of those. Add Austin to that list. Also enjoyed Vegas, San Francisco, SF-LA coastline drive, (some of) the Florida Keys, New Orleans (pre hurricane - not been back since).

Pacific coast of CA. I've only been north of SF, specifically on the stretch up to Mendocino, but it is truly spectacular there. I want to visit the coast south of SF sometime soon -- I'm a long-time Ansel Adams fan, and many of his classic photographs were taken in that area.

I second (or third!) San Francisco - if only I could afford to live there

St. Augustine, Fl - lots of history in America's oldest town

Savannah, GA - simply gorgeous

New Orleans - before.

Franconia national park, NH. ..... This was the site of NH's state symbol 'The Old man of the Mountain' then a year or two back the eyebrows and nose fell off, now it's just called 'The Old Chin of the mountain' :D

Pocono's :)

Carlsbad Caverns NM - Watching millions of bats fly out to hunt at sunset.

Flagstaff AZ - Desert to the snow top mountains in an hour

Jerome AZ - A feel of what the wild west was like

Eureka CA - Amazing architecture (The Carson Mansion etc)

Pacific Coast Highway - Driving the full length, a long road I know - but constantly in awe

Boston is cool, but wouldn't want to live there, sod all marking, drive like loons and the accent....bugger... :D

Bar Harbor, ME....just at the end of April, before the tourists start arriving, it's a lovely place, superb national parks too.

Chicago loved it when we went earlier this year.

Outer Banks of North Carolina, had 2 good holidays there. Lovely beaches and good seafood.
