Re: Favorite American Foods
I like collard greens, never had them until I came to Florida and they're great. Same goes for mustard and turnip greens too. You can stick your okra though, thats just nasty.

Me too!!! I posted last week. One of dh's biz partners is A.American and he always makes me greens whenever we go over for dinner, no matter what we're eating, he knows how much I love the way the black southern folk make them! Fattening as heck though

When I first came here I thought it weird and gross how all the candy has peanuts in it.After 20 years I now love Reese's peanut butter cups and 5th Avenue's.
My American favorites are Ben and Jerry's ice cream, cajun and creole food such as hush puppies, collard greens, jambalaya and gumbo.
Baby back ribs and Tex-Mex food are other favorites, one thing I miss after being out of the country are margaritas, chips, salsa and guacamole.Pringles, teriyaki beef jerky, the occasional Fatburger.
Those little 'Club' brand cocktails in a can, where you can make Margarita's, Long Island Iced Tea, Mai Tai's and Pina Coladas in a few minutes with some ice and a blender......
