What about Ryan Giggs, top soccer player who played for Wales and Manchester United. His soccer skills were said by many to be world class.

Giggs was born in Cardiff, V Jones in London.

My mother was born in London, she is still Welsh. Being Welsh does not always depend on where a person is born. Likewise a baby born to American parents in say France is typically an American (and not French). There was a well-known comedian (now dead) who happened to be born in Caerphilly/Caerfilli in Wales but that did not make him Welsh. On information and belief his parents were not Welsh and he was not brought up in Wales and never considered himself as Welsh.

Anyway, I don't really care what heritage V Jones has, if he wants to be considered Welsh and he is accepted by Wales as Welsh that is fine with me. If someone born in Wales does not want to be regarded as Welsh that is also fine by me.
