Family visas for US

I am looking for information on emigration to the US. My father is a US citizen after being naturalised approx. two years ago. He has been there for 15 years. I am 26 years old and not married

Do you know how long it will take to receive a visa and what are my chances?

Also, I am looking for a good US immigration lawyer. Is it better to get one in the US or the UK?

Thanks

You really don't need a lawyer for this process - it is pretty easy to do - just a
lot of forms to fill out. But if you do get one - perhaps it would be best to find
one in the US since your father will be the one who has to file all the forms. Since
you are an unmarried daughter of a US Citizen, you would have first priority - so the
process would probably only take a year or two. See the I-130 Immigration Help Site
for all the details http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill...806/index.html
Take Care. Shelley
