A# on Expired EAD card

I was a student and was holding F-1, then I was on practical training with my EAD card, I got my H-1B visa before the EAD card expired. Now I married a USC and need to file for I-485 and I-130, does that A# on the expired EAD card still valid? or I should put N/A for A#? WOuld they issue another valid A# after I got my green card?

Use your existing A# but don't be shocked if they issue a new one because some INS
offices don't seem to know what to do with an A# they didn't issue!

It's not that they don't know what to do with the A#, it's that different A#'s are
issued for different purposes. You will be assigned a new A# when you adjust status
because the A# issued for Practical Training will represent just that...Practical
training and not Permanent Resident status.

There are plenty of people who got an A# as a student and the INS offices have used
that fine.
