Expat Comm in LA

Expat Comm in LA
Sorry if this has been asked a million times before but I am currently considering moving offices from Manchester to Los Angeles. Whilst I am not someone who needs England abroad a strong or at least an existing expat community would help me in making up my mind.
So basically, my question is this (wait for it) is how strong is the expat community in Los Angeles?? My new office would be in the Santa Monica region, I am 24, male and well into me footy. What would you who already live there recommend??
Again, sorry of this is a common thread but I would really welcome anybody's input on this. Cheers in advance, a happy Liverpool fan!!!

have a search though, as lots of brits out there and threads on info about LA to start you off.
