Default Exchange rates

Anyone got a good site for "Accurate" exchange rates. By "Accurate" I mean what exchange rate I would get if I walked into a UK high Street bank right now.

This looks like it's updated pretty frequently:

I would suggest you Google 'tourist rates'. As a good guide they are +/- about 7cents on the actual international rate depending on whether you are buying or selling. International rates can be had by going to xe.com

I think that it is international bank rates you are referring to. xe.com updates about every 1min. You will find they would be showing the same rate.

This always seems close to what I end up paying when using cash machines over here

There are three figures that concern you - the actual inter bank rate and the buy and sell rates which include the bank's spread or profits.

If you want UK high street prices then go to the post office web site or one of the high street banks - like http://www.halifax.co.uk/holidaymone...onverter.shtml
and you will get that days rate! 1.68 today
