Exchange Rate Dilemma

Hi All,

I will be moving to the USA via a K1 visa later this summer and have been sorting things prior to my move.

I have sold my house and all my investment (low cost index) funds so as to streamline things from a US tax perspective. The extended Brexit uncertainty makes it hard to predict when or if the £ will improve against the $ and so I am looking at ways to invest in the market in £ which are relatively easy to manage from a US IRS perspective. I am considering going down the Vanguard ETF route and wondered if others have done this and which firm they use - Am I searching for the Holy Grail ?

Many of my investments are in Vanguard buy and hold low cost mutual funds. They have some great funds and you can't go wrong with them. You can easily research which ones you fancy.

Which firm? Funnily enough I use Vanguard. It makes no sense to use a third party if the third party takes takes a cut. If you are with a bank though you can also go through the bank and generally get a number of free trades.
