Excellent Curry!

Excellent Curry!
I was going to pass on a recommendation to all my fellow Dallas/Plano expats for an absolutely wonderful curry place we just found... and then I discovered that it's also part of a national chain, so the recommendation applies to residents of various CA locations too!
We stumbled on Chaat Cafe as we were driving down Preston Road here in Plano, looking for somewhere for lunch.
We ended up enjoying the best damned curry we've found since we left the UK, and I would say that in many ways the dishes were better than 90% of the curries we'd eaten back in England.
I can definitely recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh followed by the Kulfi, although everything we had was just excellent!
There. Rave over. I'm just so glad to have somewhere to eat a real spicy curry again!

A good curry should burn on the way out as well as the way in

Re: Excellent Curry!
Sad thing this, but I have a curry house right on my doorstep and I haven't eaten there in over two years, as I'm the only one in the family who likes the stuff. I love curry, but table for one isn't any fun. I settle for the Chinese curry sauce you can get from Walmart. lol

Re: Excellent Curry!
Anyone know of a really really good curry house in Houston, I am sick to the back teeth with Ashiana, nice but too pricey for what they offer...
We are supposed to be going there tonight, but would rather try somewhere new..
Suggestion on a postcard please..
PS. Drooling at the thought of a fab chicken (white meat only) Madras

I'm fortunate to live in an area that has a very big East Asian (those from the Indian subcontinent) population. To cater to this group, there are many, many Indian restaurants including regional Indian restaurants. I'm spoilt for choice when it comes to eating Indian and it's a reasonable price.
The East Asian community is so large in the area that there is a little shop/catering business that sells/makes only Indian sweets.
So, if I crave Indian food, I don't have to drive far to find authentic Indian in the Durham/Cary/Morrisville area.
