Just as a frame of reference, the same thing happened with my USC sister and her USC husband, here within the USA (no international travel). They both retired here in Arizona, and he wanted to move to northern California where he was originally from. She wanted to move to South Carolina to be near her kids and grandkids.
He won that debate, so they moved to CA, with the understanding that they would go visit SC fairly often. Well, he never wanted to go, he didn't like her going without him, he didn't like them coming to visit, and after 2 years in CA he asked for a divorce!
My point is that these issues can come up even in a non-international relationship.
p.s. They did indeed get divorced, and my sister now lives happily in SC near her kids.

I Googled my name recently and found that there is a fugitive with my name (same first and last, different middle) in the state where I live!

Even a simple Google of his name plus "warrant", assuming his name isn't Smith or Brown, will likely find any possibly relevant information. Any known states where last lived or visited might help narrow down the search.
