EX-Pat Nat Geo Prepper Fans Here
Other than the really far out there folks, some of the basic principals seem sound.
My UK wife loves the show (US cit 7 years).
We have our own garden for veg garden, obviously some guns (I am amercian), and some other basc stuff.
Any others out there that "prep", not Zombie apoc prep, but sensible, any tips? Thoughts?
With the way some seem to think the US is heading, this seems to be becoming more "mainstream" IMHO. I know folks did not do this prior to the US "Great Depression" but with the myriad of threats that exist, it does seem prudent, so long as it is moderated by common sense.
Just throwing it out there...

Growing your own food -- great hobby and good for you.
Preparing for the balloon to go up -- try klonopin, or weed if you cant afford conventional healthcare.

PS - Amercian [sic] should always be capitalized yet I'm not sure that zombie is a proper noun.

Maybe he meant "I am a mercian" - very warlike tribes, the Mercians. He should still have capitalised "Mercian", though.

Tin-foil hatter, sky is falling types. People want free healthcare and abortions so libertarians assume the world is ending and fill bunkers full of canned goods left over from the y2k thing that never happened ...

I thought he was claiming that people didn't have their own vegetable gardens or own any guns prior to 1929. Which is a strange thing to say.

There's self-sufficient and then there's nutty as a fruitcake (AKA the Tea Party).
