ESTA Renewal

Hey. I know that compulsary ESTA is a new thing, but I was wondering... after your ESTA expires at the end of the 2 year period, is it possible to renew it straight away? I know that on many US visas there is a period after the visa expires when the visa holder may not enter the states and I wondered if this applied to ESTA. It would suck to have 2 years worth of US travel and then not be allowed to enter again for another 2 or so years. Thanks.

You can submit a new application right away. There is no mandatory break between authorizations.
