Elsewhere in this site it says:
"Bachelor (Honours) degree - in terms of specialisation, the honours degree is considered comparable to the American Master's degree from prestigious colleges and universities."
It would be very useful to me to be able to justify this. I have a 2:1 BA Honours in Psychology and Counselling. The jobs I am interested in ask for an US Masters (MA). I suspect that if I state that I obtained this info from britishexpats.com it is not going to cut any ice with them.
Can anyone give me further information, so I can prove this to prospective empoyers.
Thanks
Stephen

I have no knowledge of this. It's possible that you might get some useful response
here, but perhaps you might want to search out an education newsgroup. Best of luck!

I would contact the college you recieved the degree from, placement service, alumni
association, or the like. I am almost certain you are not the first person to need
the knowledge.

As previously stated, says that
"Bachelor (Honours) degree - in terms of specialisation, the honours degree is considered comparable to the American Master's degree from prestigious colleges and universities."

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have a suspicion that even if I can get my University to write a letter confirming that they consider their BA Honours Degrees equivalent to the American Masters, that this might not wash with American employers. It may not exist but I was hoping for a reputable American source to give the comparison more credibility.
Thanks again
