I like having four seasons.
Cocktails
Ribs
Politeness
Cheap fairy lights...well you did ask.
Shops open late
Starbucks everywhere
Road trips
Disney World
Easier availability of Rolling Rock

And that Hersheys chocolate...yum, yum, yum. Why can't the Belgians get the recipe.

Did I mention the weather? No need to plan on the day depending on the weather....we know that it will be sunny

It's an all-you-can-eat buffet style place.

They have a HUGE salad buffet...made-up salads, or make your own. Then a hot-food counter that has about 4 types of soup incl my fave chili soup, lasagne/pasta etc, lots of diff breads, desserts.....we go at about 3pm for a late lunch/early supper, and dont need to eat for the rest of the day.....not sure the exact price cos blokey always pays -maybe about 8 bucks?

Tea at the Plaza, I can't wait for the renovations to be finished, I miss the Palm room so much. Best high tea ever $33 and with a glass of champagne and an extra salmon hors durve $44. Worth every penny. Favorite thing for all my visitors from the UK, it is a very special place.

You buy one in the UK. In the front before you go in! I feel cheated, they should give it to you as they do here!

where in the US are you again?

Don't get me wrong, there are lovely homes around here too, but there aren't many nice gardens, the seasons just don't allow for it, to cold, to hot, so people don't bother for the very short period where flowers will look nice, which is a shame.

I do like how each state can be so completely different from each other though, so it's a fun surprise when driving around to other states, with random places you go through.

Coastal sea food shacks are great, and how cheap sea food is in maine, blimey, I really underappreciated that when I lived there because bloody hell it's expensive in MA, and lobster, wtf are they on to sell at those prices?

Oh, to add, drive in movie threatres, just discovered there is one not far from where I live, not been there yet, but think it's great, went to the one in Maine that we lived near by once, West Brook I think, it was great, cheesy, but still a lot of fun, and the one in Bridgeton is great too.
