Englishman In New York
Interesting audio slideshow by the BBC. Anyone we know on there?

New York is home to some 120,000 English men and women - including photographer Jason Bell. Inspired by the sheer number of British-born people who live there, he tracked down some of better known faces, but also others who do their 'day jobs' in The Big Apple.
His photographic results - published in a new book 'An Englishman in New York' - are on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London. BBC Radio 4's magazine programme Broadcasting House travelled to the US - and caught up with Jason, and some of his subjects.

Oddly enough that was the only song I banned the DJ from playing at our wedding in NY.

I just saw that on the BBC website and I thought all those people were far too beautiful! (Not too beautiful to be English - just too attractive in general! )
Come over to Wisconsin, Jason Bell. We've got some really 'interesting' people to photograph.

I saw a video on the BBC and I've always wanted to live in the USA. I've got a diploma in spray tanning and I trained at the respected Acme School of Spray Tanners can you tell me where to apply type questions?

That was cool. I noticed the woman who runs Tea and Sympathy down in the village. It's so weird to walk in there because everyone speaks with an English accent. I did love her comment that if you invented a great new widget in the UK everyone would say 'eh... why do you want to bother doing that?'

Where's the spray tanner chick's accent from? I heard several words pronounced like a South African. Maybe she's lived all over the place...
