Eng Prem commentary on the web

Quick Question:

Is it possible to get live commentary of Eng Prem games via the web?

I was hoping to bring a little Radio 5 into my life, but that doesn't appear to be an option. :(

Perhaps my post was ambiguous? I'm not trying to receive UK Radio on a US radio. I am however trying to find radio stations online that I can listen to that would carry live Prem Football.

BBC Radio 5 it seems is unable to broadcast Perm games via the web due to contractual reasons. That begs the questions, if there contract prohibits them then surely it is because someone else holds the rights?

I listen to Gillette Soccer Saturday the live feed from Sky sports on a Saturday morning.

I am sure Bob can give you the link. ;)

This cam up once before, I may even have started it!

I am not a techie so apologies in advance.

Firstly the rights that the BBC acquire are to transmit by radio only and internet in UK, I assume their software determines where you are.

They had even more restrictive software for the Olympics btw.

My team dropped out of the Prem, matches are covered by local radio but if you want it over the Internet you have to subscribe through the Club site as they hold the rights, you get the local BBC feed.

Now there are ways of hiding where you are which give you a false front, but all the ones I looked at switched you all over and I could not get one which gave you a UK front only. So I gave up.

Logic suggests to me that this should be possible but I never found an available solution, even if it was a subscrition it would be worh it if its was a few bucks a month. I just hate it when they switch over to the recorded message just as I was getting interested.

Fortunately we do have Dish and Fox Sports World.

Thankfully Fox Soccer Channel nee Fox Sports World, is a near permanent fixture in my home.
