The End Of The World Is Nigh...
That can be the only explanation for the following news. Or it could just be further proof that US television really is as awful as we think it is
Apparently NBC are working on a US version of the Eurovision Song Contest. The format will be altered slightly (obviously!) to include the 50 states, but the basic idea will remain the same. It won't be the same without Norway getting "Nil Points" though.

It's worth watching every year just to see Terry Wogan accurately guess what country is going to give what other country 12 points (not that it's so hard). But then again, Terry Wogan is the best thing about it.

Have mercy on our souls! You know it's going to turn into the Christian song contest.
(And it won't have Terry Wogan.)

LOL, I was going to post this topic but I thought I'd check first so I didn't duplicate anything... I saw "The End Of The World Is Nigh" and knew instantly what this thread was about.
It just won't be the same without Terry Wogan.
Someone should fire this guy, he obviously doesn't now what he's talking about.

"Eurovision is the granddaddy of all talent shows and the Super Bowl of singing," said Ben Silverman, chairman of series producers Reveille.

Will there be bonus points for outfit design and dance routines? Will points be deducted for those with more than a four octave range?
