What is an "Employment Lawyer"? Are you referring to a litigation lawyer that deals in unlawful termination or employment contractual disputes?

Sorry if you took offense but Americans seldom dispute contracts or illegal termination so the term "Employment Lawyer" is not commonly used.

I wasn't offended: just surprised. I'm pretty sure the term 'Employment Lawyer" is self-explanatory and this may be a site about the USA but most of the people that frequent the place are British so should have no trouble interpreting what I wrote.

Consider when people recommend immigration lawyers here it is usually with the addendum of specialist in whatever subfield.

FFS: I want to know if anyone can recommend a lawyer that deals with employment issues. Why are you all being so annoyingly pedantic - if you can't help or are not being funny (and you are NOT being funny) don't answer.

And if I wanted an immigration lawyer that is what I would ask for: the ones I know can handle most aspects of immigration law quite nicely.

Because an individual lawyer generally works a small specialist area of law. "Employment law" is not a small area. Is it something to do with wrongful termination? Something to do with employer negligence? Workers comp? A contract issue? Prior employer coming after you because you moved to a competitor? Whistle blowing? Benefit issue? Plus many more. All different, all fall under the broad category of "employment law" but may not be handled by the same lawyer or law firm at the same level of competence, or handled at all.

Yeah, I'm with the above two on this as well. Without context, hard to say what the OP wants.

Employment lawyer could just as easily be a immigration lawyer that specialises in work based sponsorships :/

And as Duncan, mentions there are sub sections, so anyone recommending one lawyer might not be of much use, if you're not going to give any context to what you're looking for.

State or Federal?

Colorado being at will and hardly any Employers including me using Contracts there are not many of them it seems.

Now WC, Unemployment etc that seems to be a more popular area. Got to go where the money is.

Like we all said, ask a incomplete question and you'll get the answer you're looking for.

If you don't want to say what exactly you're looking for, that's fine, that's your prerogative but I wouldn't get arsey with other people who were bothered to help you out.
