Employment Agencies USA

Hi Can anyone recommend any agencies keen on UK citizens, I heard some are specialising on UK citizens

I'm sure they exist, though I doubt many people here would recommend one. Just remember, if an agency starts promising guaranteed placements and visas they are probably lying and if they are demanding fees you're probably being taken for a ride.

Best to deal directly with companies and immigration attorneys.

No.

Job hunt like everyone else and if you're good enough they will hire but agencies as mentioned that promise things are scams.

And what is it that you actually do?

Have you read the wiki's to see if you actually have a chance getting a visa? There is a heck of a lot more to trying to move/get a job here than what most people think. The USA is one of the hardest countries to move to if you are not a citizen.

As mentioned a lot of these agencies are nothing short of scam artists who will promise you everything to try and get money out of you. Beware!

I am not sure what your point is? Do you need a visa? .... Do you have a visa? Or are you hoping that an agency exists that will find you a job and take care of the visa for you?

Asking about jobs is putting the cart before the horse for most people. Sure, work related visas require you to have a job, but if you are not visa eligible looking for a job outside of a few highly specialist niches is entirely pointless because the vast majority (probably 99.9% or 1000 jobs in 1,000,000) of jobs available in the US will never support a successful visa application.

If there are any agencies looking specifically for UK people I have never heard of them.

Agencies are very little help. They are their to try and fill a position. They are not there to find an individual a job.

They don't care about you personally other than the route to a commission for them. They will find a bunch of potential candidates just like you and throw them at the employer hoping one of them will get an interview and job.

(Your friend is rubbish at using forums? That involves some really basic skills like reading, typing, using the web. Therefore I'd say your friend is not qualified in the slightest as no employer will be interested in an employee without such fundamental skills.)

"Temp" Agencies, while not what I think you mean, are not so bad. I had luck with a few, and got a temp to perm job, which ended up perm after a year.

Not exactly head hunters though. Kelly, Randstadt, Robert Half are ones I used.
