employment after expiration of the EAD
Just curious,
If someone keeps working even after the expiration of EAD, (pays taxes, the employer just does not ask for the EAD anymore, ) how likely is it to be caught? and what are the consequences? Does the INS check if someobody stopped working after the expiration of the EAD?

I believe it is employee's responsibility to keep his/her status
legal. Few years down the road (or sooner,) if he/she ever wants to
change her status, it will never look good and often he/she will get
into trouble for not doing so now.
