education florida
we are hoping to emigrate in 2020, We already own a home in Florida, have started our visa process and are looking at buying a business in usa, however I am now looking into education for my two children, and I am completely confused, one will be 16 when we move and just completed gcsc, the other 18 and completed a levels. can someone advise me on whether they will go into high school or college and will they need to take any further tests for them to be accepted into school in usa, I have googled it and there is not a lot of info on what is equivalent to gcsc and a lev in usa, and as there education is so different I have got in a right muddle please help

Hi Claire....EB-5 visa?
At what stage in your application?
I think the EB-5 only covers your children until 21, but others will be along with questions and input.

Re: education florida
EB 5 would mean Immigrant Visa's for the family, hopefully that is what it is.

Yes, but be aware the E2 is a non-immigrant visa whereas the EB-5 would give you a green card.
There are complexities in the difference between the two visas.
What stage are you in the application?
Here's something to chew on...
E2 - IT Consulting business - Please guide..

Re: education florida
we were not told by our immigration attorney we could have an eb5 visa, he just told us the e2 visa and then the children could buy into our business at 21

Re: education florida
Our immigration attorney knows we don’t have the money to buy into the e5 visa hence he suggested e2

But your children have the money to get their own E2's.

I would contact the school district where you will be living.

What stage are you at in your application?
Will children be going public or private? Will they be available at the start of the school year or mid-semester?
'and then the children could buy into our business at 21'
Hmmm...well...yes...maybe. Depends on lots of variables. It's not clear cut.
Are your children heading for University education? It can be tough here without it.
Have you got significant $$ to invest in an enterprise that will hire other Americans and Permanent Residents, in addition to potentially hiring your children?
Could you afford to go the EB-5 route so that you have a more direct path to Permanent Residency, if that's desired.
ie do you want to make the U.S.your permanent home for you and your family?
(I understand that your assets may limit you to a EB-2 however if you can consider an EB-5 that can provide more stability.)

Re: education florida
We basically cAnnot afford $ 500000 for the e5 visa so that is not an option . We were also told they could apply for f1 visa if they wanted to complete there studies to a higher level
