6am at work or 6am leaving Samammish? It takes about 8-10 minutes from central Samammish to SR-520 (your route to Bellevue) at good times. From around 6.30am the traffic at SR-520 is beginning to get heavy. I'm not sure how the traffice from Samammish itself is: I haven't driven that way in the rush hour for at least five years.

Currently there is a great deal of development going on east of Redmond, especially north of the Samammish plateau which might cause things to change during the next few years.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but the only people I know who live in Samammish actively avoid driving through north Redmond in the morning, preferring to head south to Issaquah, then strike across I-90. That is also potentially a route to Bellevue, but I do know that I-405 north between I-90 and Bellevue starts to get busy from around 6.00am.

At that time, I would estimate 15-20m travel (8-10m Samammish -> SR-520, 6-8m -> SR-520/I-405, 1-2m I-405 -> Downtown Bellevue).
