East Side of Seattle

Re: East Side of Seattle
6am at work or 6am leaving Samammish? It takes about 8-10 minutes from central Samammish to SR-520 (your route to Bellevue) at good times. From around 6.30am the traffic at SR-520 is beginning to get heavy. I'm not sure how the traffice from Samammish itself is: I haven't driven that way in the rush hour for at least five years.
Currently there is a great deal of development going on east of Redmond, especially north of the Samammish plateau which might cause things to change during the next few years.
Sorry I can't be more specific, but the only people I know who live in Samammish actively avoid driving through north Redmond in the morning, preferring to head south to Issaquah, then strike across I-90. That is also potentially a route to Bellevue, but I do know that I-405 north between I-90 and Bellevue starts to get busy from around 6.00am.

we didnt decide that part yet... the office i'll be working at is based in Kirkland now, moving to Bellevue in the next 12months.
i believe my wife is tending towards Redmond however... as we have friends in the area but only time will tell.
